This is a hearty appetizer or a great kids lunch when served along with a salad and fruit.
1 can refrigerated pizza crust
I use Pillsbury thin crust but thick crust works well too
8 oz mozzarella cheese cut into 12 pieces
48 slices of pepperoni
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Spray baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
Unroll dough, and starting at center roll out into a triangle roughly 12″ x 18″. Cut into 12 squares. each square with 2 slices of pepperoni, 1 piece of cheese and then 2 more pieces of pepperoni. (Cheese is sandwiched between pepperoni slices). Wrap dough round filling and pinch to seal. Place seam side down on baking sheet.
Bake 12-16 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with warmed pizza sauce. We like plain Ragu best.
